SAFE ARRIVAL PROGRAM

If you know that your child will not be in school, or will be late on any specific day, please call the school office during school hours at 446-6265, and state the date of absence and length of time student will be absent. If this call must be made outside of school hours, call 446-6219. If we do not have this information ahead of time, we will call you to ascertain the safety of your child. This process is mandated and you will help us by calling ahead of time.

NOTICE AND NEWS

Notices with information relating to school are sent home with your child. The Fiske Family Bulletin will be sent home on Fridays to each family. Please check your child's backpack to be sure that our communication reaches you.

 

 

 

BICYCLE PROCEDURES

With written permission from parents, third, fourth and fifth graders only are allowed to ride bikes to school. Bicycles are to be left in the bike racks, locked. The Wellesley Police Department strongly encourages that bicycles be registered with them. All bike riders must wear helmets in compliance with Massachusetts State Law.

LOST AND FOUND

Please mark all your children's belongings with labels or marking pen. We have a box in the school which you and your child should check occasionally, even if you have not missed anything. We have boots, sneakers and other articles of clothing which are unidentifiable. At mid-year and year-end these are donated to worthy causes.

 

GYM

Pupils in all grades are required to have sneakers at school for use in the gym. These must be plainly marked with the child's name.

CHANGE OF ADDRESS OR TELEPHONE NUMBER

Please notify the office in writing of any change in address or phone number.

USE OF TELEPHONE

All calls, even local, are charged to Fiske School. Please discourage your child's use of the phone.
